2014年是保险业具有历史性意义的一年。8月，国务院发布了《国务院关于加快发展现代保险服务业的若干意见》，对新时期保险业改革、发展和监管进行了全面部署，提出了加快建设世界保险强国的战略目标。10月，国务院办公厅出台了《国务院办公厅关于加快发展商业健康保险的若干意见》，第一次从深化医药卫生体制改革、发展健康服务业、促进经济提质增效升级的高度，定位商业健康保险的功能作用。这两个重要文件的出台，翻开了中国保险业加快发展和走向腾飞的新篇章，在中国保险业发展史上具有里程碑意义。
一年来，在党中央、国务院的正确领导下，保险业在复杂困难的形势下，坚持抓服务、严监管、防风险、促发展，各项工作扎实推进，改革发展实现了重大跨越。面向未来，保险业已经站在新的发展起点上。
2014 has been a historic year for the insurance industry. In August, the State Council publicized Several Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Modern Insurance Service Industry, putting forward a blueprint for insurance reform, development and regulation in the new situation for the strategic goal of building a world-class insurance industry. Two months later, the State Council issued Several Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Commercial Health Insurance, unprecedentedly defining the important role of commercial health insurance in deepening medical and health system reform, developing health service industry and economic upgrading. These two groundbreaking, leaf-turning documents were milestones in the history of the Chinese insurance industry.
During the past year, under the guidance of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, the insurance industry has made a historic stride forward and is now embracing a future of new development, seeing steady progress in service, regulation, risk control and growth.
